Our last litter was born February 7, 2008 to Ch Bonjovie’s Divine Design (“Candice”) and Ch Maxmillan Cutie Pie Bonjovie (“Max”). We may still have a puppy available when you see this, so enquire if you are interested.

Show prospects will stay with us until we are more certain about their quality. At around 10-12 weeks of age, we will evaluate them again, this time focusing on quality of movement. Around six months of age, we will look at them again to study how their parts are growing together and place the show quality puppies in their show homes. Along the way, if there is a puppy not living up to its show potential, he/she will be available for adoption as a pet.
Next Litter due Spring 2009:
We may have two litters early next year. This will be
a second litter for Ch Bonjovie’s Divine Design and
first litter for Ch Bonjovie’s Blessed. Their photos and pedigrees can be seen under “Bitches and Dogs”.
We are still considering choices of stud for them.
A deposit to secure a puppy in these litters is $100, non-refundable unless there is no puppy available.
The cost of a pet puppy is $900. View the Sales Contract Companion for what is included in that fee. If you are interested in going on our list or securing a puppy, please fill out our questionnaire, which we keep as a record of where you are on our list.
If you are interested in owning one of our bassets, please complete our questionnaire (click here to open) and send it back to us with your request. Then we will contact you.
All companion puppies are sold on a non-breeding contract and will be registered with the Canadian Kennel Club at no extra expense. They will be microchipped or tattooed and vaccinated around 7-8 weeks of age. Under the age of 20 weeks, they will come with six weeks of health insurance through Pet Plan Insurance (affiliated with the Canadian Kennel Club) at no extra charge.
Adults for placement:
We occasionally have an adult for sale in order to make room for the next generation. This is usually a girl who has finished her childbearing duties and who would love a smaller home with less competition for attention. Each basset is cherished and will only be placed in a home that has her and our approval. Although she is house trained, we suggest that for the first two weeks in a new home, she be supervised when loose in the house. She will be used to sleeping in her crate at night and when we are at work. She will love to go for walks and cuddle on the couch. Contact us to enquire if an older puppy or adult is available.
